Fort Worth 2013

The day we went to the Fort Worth was a few days after the severe snow storm. Our plan was to take pictures of autumn foliage at the Japanese Garden but the garden was closed because the ground was still slippery so we went to the newly opened Piano Pavilion of Kimbell Museum instead.
When I came back to the Garden three days later the maple leaves had withered and half of them were gone. The harsh sunlight that day did not help the photo either. The colored leaves in this album were somewhat salvaged by my cheap polarized filter and a little Photoshop work. Click the link to view album:

Fort Worth 2013

GSCCC award winning picture

This Lotus Flower picture of mine was picked by Plano Photo Club to participate in the October Photo Competition of Gulf States Camera Club Council. It won the 2nd place of Pictorial Project category. This picture was taken, as my other GSCCC winning picture, at Taipei Botanic Garden. Birds at Ithaca

Our last day in New York the temperature dropped below freezing point. We decided to take it easy by staying in the town of Ithaca and went take birds and ducks pictures in the nearby Cass Park. In some of these pictures you can see the snowflake floating around, the snow was light most of the time but did get heavy at one point. Later In the afternoon the cloud opened up and the dusk light turned warm and delightful. Birds at Ithaca

Finger Lake

Pictures of this album was taken at NY state parks around Finger Lake area. Most of the trails in the parks were closed at this time of year so we could only go to a few trails that was still open.  Finger Lake
