大安公園站 Daan MRT Station

                  

Daan Park MRT Station, opened on 24 November 2013, is located at the northern end of the Daan Forest Park for which it is named after. The station is practically at my backyard. It is an exact 1.5 minute walk from my Taipei apartment. Click the following link for album:

Birds I 2014

These pictures, taken at Daan Forest Park, is my first album of non-water fowls. It's an amazing discovery that there are so many beautiful birds around when I began to take the bird pictures. Egret I 2014

Pictures of this album were taken with the Nikor 80-400 mm zoom lens. Most of the pictures in this album were taken at Daan Park in Taipei, the last 17 pictures were taken at Huajiang Wild Duck Nature Park, also in Taipei. Please click the link below to view the album.

Birds At Breckenridge Park

This is the first test of my 80-400 mm Nikon lens. In the first part of the album the sunlight is too harsh and the birds (egret and heron) are too far. In the second part both situations improved but the setting  was still not right (over exposure). The lens offers reasonable focus speed and sharpness.

Models at Sam's

This portrait album was taken at Sam's house. A few shortcoming for these portraits are: the clutter background take some attention from the models, the studio light was inadequate and no room for tripod. Many of these pictures have high iso at 2000. But still it was very generous of Sam to provide the studio environment for our portrait practice. Please click the link:

Lotus Flower

The Lotus Flower was taken at the Botanic Garden at Taipei. This picture won the second place of photo competition of Gulf State Camera Club Council in November 2013, in the category of Pictorial Project Image.
