This beautiful Wildseeds Farm, one of the largest wild seeds place in the world, has plenty of flowers plus bees and butterflies that usually gathering around them. Enchanted Rock State Park

1,643-acre Enchanted Rock State Natural Area draws countless visitors to its distinctive 500-foot-high dome of pink granite, the second largest such formation in North America. When we arrived the Enchanted Rock it was late, 8 pm to be exact. Our plan was to climb half of the hill and came down before it getting too dark but we ended up reaching the summit. The color of the sky was beautiful at this hour.  By the time we get back to the parking lot it was complete dark.  Enchanted Rock State Park

Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg was settled by immigrant families from Germany in 1846.  Many older buildings retain traditional German styles; several units comprise National Historic District. German is still spoken occasionally and old customs are regularly observed. LBJ National Historic Park

Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park is in the Texas Hill Country about 50 miles west of Austin. The park protects the birthplace, home, ranch, and final resting place of Lyndon B. Johnson, 36th President of the United States. During Johnson's administration, the LBJ Ranch was known as the "Texas White House" because the President spent approximately twenty percent of his time in office there. There's also a living history farmstead of the pioneers in the park where visitors can see how the farm families of a century ago lived.   LBJ National Historic Park

Austin Bat Night

From March through April thousands of mostly female, pregnant Mexican free-tailed bats migrate North to give birth. Some of them stay in Austin until early fall. We happened to be at the right time and right place to witness this wonder of nature in a cool weekend evening.
