The adventure to Carlsbad Cavern National Park is a side trip to Monahans Sand Hill. It is a 2 hours drive each way and fits well into the photo travel plan because there's nothing to photo in Monahans during the day time. Carlsbad is the biggest cavern in the northern hemisphere although it is only the 28th largest cavern in the world. Carlsbad
