Zermatt is a traffic free, quaint Swiss village situated at the foot of the Matterhorn and is in the middle of an enormous hiking and ski region. We had two nights at this attractive alpine village with an excursion to Gornergrat, the last stop of the Gornergrat train which climbs almost 1,500 m from Zermatt. Also in this post are pictures taken on the way from Geneva to Zermatt, including the Chillon Castle.
