"Altar of the Fatherland" also known as the "National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II". In the mid day of Rome excursion we were drop off at Trevi Fountain to have some free time of our own. We used this break to explore the nearby National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II. The Monument occupies a site between the Piazza Venezia and the Capitoline Hill.
